Southern Cross Protection has been transforming its armada of vehicles from the fossil-fuel-reliant technology of the past into a newer, greener fleet.
So far we have moved over a hundred Toyota Prius C Hybrids into our fleet of 160 vehicles. The remaining fossil fuel cars will be replaced by hybrids over the next year.
This has already halved our (your) fuel bill and had a comparable reduction in harmful emissions. Our fleet is getting larger, but our carbon fleet-print is shrinking.
An unforeseen advantage of the green car roll-out is that cars running on electricity are almost totally silent, making our patrolmen mobile ninja! 🙂
