On the night of November 18, 2015, while patrolling a site in Eagle Farm, QLD, a Southern Cross Protection Officer noticed a half-conscious male lying on Albert Street.
He seemed to be in his mid 20s, and had a cut on his eyebrows with blood all over his forehead. Another female and male were near him; the male was on the phone calling an ambulance, while the female was looking after the injured man.
He was not responsive, but was breathing.
Another couple at the scene reported that they had seen someone punch the man twice on his face and knock him out.
Our guard waited with the couple until the ambulance arrived within 8-10 minutes. Paramedics asked the guard to give them a hand by holding the injured man’s head, as he could have some facial injuries so they wanted to make sure he didn’t move his head as they gave him first aid. When they were done, our guard helped them lift the man – later identified as Jordan – onto the stretcher and into the ambulance, to be taken to the nearest hospital.
