Companies and individuals will be recognised for their excellence and innovation on a national and international stage through the 22nd annual Australian Security Industry Awards for Excellence (an ASIAL initiative) and the 3rd annual Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs – a World Excellence Awards initiative).
The Awards Dinner will be held on 19 October 2017 in the River Room, Crown Melbourne from 6.30pm-10.30pm.
We are very proud to announce Ben Beville as a Nominee for the Outstanding Security Consultant Award.
Ben Beville is a principled, driven and progressive Security Consultant. Since joining Southern Cross Protection, Ben has searched for innovative ways to meet evolving client demands. A notable example is his integral role in the development of a suite of Remote Security Management Services. Clients’ in the education, construction and healthcare industries have adopted the new system, providing them with a robust and safety-focussed solution. Ben’s involvement and energy in this area has directly resulted in customer retention and the future proofing of our business.
Since gaining his Risk and Security Qualifications, Ben has provided expert security advice to our clients across multiple industries. Ben’s method identifies critical issues and delivers intelligent solutions within each client’s budget. Leveraging his experience as a prior United States Navy Officer, Ben provided advice to a major Australian port facility. He developed a comprehensive Standard Operating Procedure, which was based on, and fully compliant with, the Maritime Transport and Offshore Facilities Security Act 2003. Ben has also provided security advice to a major healthcare provider and is now spearheading a risk-based pilot program for a $550-Million infrastructure project. The pilot program aims to reform security and ICT design practices within the healthcare sector and has been applauded by the client since the early stages. With his unique experience in Defence, Security and Risk, Ben is quickly establishing himself as an industry expert.
Ben has also commenced writing for the Security Insider Magazine, with the first article published in the August/September 2017 issue. The series of articles Ben is writing is themed around the face of evolving threats, highlighting the importance of everyday security professionals for our nation’s future. The article has already been well received by its audience, sparking dialogue about enhancing employee motivation and resilience.
Ben is championed at Southern Cross Protection for his tireless commitment to our company values and challenging the status quo. We are very proud of Ben’s achievements so far and believe he is most deserving of formal industry recognition to celebrate his successes and the fresh attitude he brings to the Security Industry.
